Comments

  1. Strong like bull! Much respect.
  2. This must be Techno Vikings gym
  3. I bet he could get it even lower if he worked on his technique
  4. I once did a 1.34 when i was 15 with no training which was a school record aha... i may just need to start training for this now
  5. Why do I feel embarrassed by watching this??? Put him in a single and he'd break it.Haha
  6. if you would use your legs more you'd go faster. try to get your shins in 90 degrees with de floor
  7. Awesome.
  8. Dude, the flex on that machine! Incredible.
  9. Incredible. Somehow I think the record could be Chads for decades to come - if he spent 6 months devoted to the specific discipline. Also why don't rowers spend more time weight training? Chad has shown that for the 500m sprint power is needed.
  10. you are a Rowbot
  11. fan explodes
  12. Chad, if you read this comment, or if anyone who knows him personally reads this comment, please let him know this: Your pace at the end was 1:27. I heard you in another video saying your pace initially is 1:08 or so. If so, then the world record is easily within your grasp! The relationship between pace and power output on the rower is a cubic function! So going twice as fast takes 8 times the power output! A 3% difference in pace is almost a 10% difference in power required!

The long story made short, if you row a pace that is consistent start to finish you're going to get the best time overall. A 1:08 pace at the beginning requires output of 1113 watts. A 1:13 pace drops that to about 900! So instead of putting out 22% more power for the short time you can maintain the 1:08 pace, just do a 1:13 pace to the finish.

I know you don't know me from Adam, but I've worked with people on this from 500m to 2k rowing efforts. The math is sound and well known. There is NOTHING I would enjoy more than seeing you decimate the world record. I'm pretty sure that you can do that more easily than you think by just properly pacing to do so. (Now, for training purposes, I agree with your approach! But game it once and set the world record!!)

    Please read this! Please? :)
  13. respect
  14. okay, i don;t get it.  Yes, the time is wickedly fast and the effort amazing, but it's really not "rowing" per se.  That would never work in a real boat, and the C2 was originally designed as a trainer for rowing real boats.
  15. Thats fast have you ever done a 2k at the drag factor at 4 to 5?
  16. Motivation right there, gonna lose weight eh
  17. Horrendous catch and leg drive when speaking in terms of actual rowing, but this guy still managed to get an insane finish. I'd love to see him in a 2k test.
  18. The world record is 1:10.5..
  19. If u don't mind sharing Chad...what is ur lowest split u av seen when ur rowing even if it was for one stroke.
  20. When you reached 1;13.6 mark... Come to UAE. DFC (Dubai Fitnesss Championship) is awarding 35,000 DHS or $9600.00 USD. to ANYONE who can break the fastes 500 meter Row ever recorded using C2 Indoor Rower. :) send me email if intereested or add me on Facebook www.facebook.com/dannycordero57
