Ten mind blowing unsolved mysteries : 10. A message from outer space: the Wow! signal The wow signal was a strong radio signal detected by Dr. Ehman on August 15, 1977 while working on a SETI project (Searching for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). The signal originated from the constellation Sagittarius, 120 light years away from Earth, and could be a proof of the existence of alien intelligence. 6. "I am my own grandfather": the Gus Taylor case Since he was 18 months old, Gus Taylor pretended to be his own grandfather, who died prior his birth. However, Gus knows the whole story of his family and remembers his grandfather's life even though nobody ever told him anything about certain topics: he can recognize his first car, his old classmates and so on, on family photos. 5. Cicada 3301 Cicada 3301 is an organization that posted puzzle games 3 times on the Internet on January 5th of 2012, 2013 and 2014 with physical clues appearing all around the world. These puzzles are rumored to be a recruitment form for the CIA, MI6 or even Microsoft. 4. The Taos Hum The Taos Hum is a low pitched sound heard in numerous places worldwide, only 2% of the world population can actually hear it. It is described as sounding like a distant diesel engine. The origin and nature of this low frequency sound is unknown and it caused few suicides among its "hearers". 3. The Tarim mummies These mummies were discovered about 2,000 years ago in the Tarim basin of Western China. They are amazingly well preserved, but what's really impressive is the fact that they are of European genetic stock, including blond hair and long nose. To this day nobody knows how and why they ended up in China back then. 2. The Betz mystery sphere The Betz sphere is a very smooth orb with strange properties that defy the laws of gravity, it can climb walls and slanted tables. This sphere impressed countless scientists, who can't find a rational explanation to this strange phenomenon. 1. 7. The Sailing Stones mystery has actually been debunked. It's due to rising water levels which float the rocks in a stream current vector. When the water evaporates than all that's left is a trail and a rock in a different location.
  8. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the fascinating 'Voynich Manuscript' as it happens to be very interesting and I'm a Historian on that era. First of all we DID recognize several plants, such as tyme and several other plants, I think what the Author of this video was TRYING to say was that there are many odd depictions of plants. I mean that as in many of the plants are 'composite' made, meaning often they are drawn with the roots of one plant, the stem of another, the leaves of another plant and then a flower from a completely different plant. And often the sizes are exaggerated far beyond the norm I.E. the roots will be huge and the stem tiny and the flowers/leaves will be drawn highly detailed and much larger than should be. HOWEVER several people who are educated in the field of traditional medicine and have studied medieval manuscripts of herbs and medicine say that the composite drawings and exaggerated portions of the plants aren't TOO uncommon or unique as many medieval manuscripts of that topic will do that to show the certain strength and properties of a plant, but make no mistake about it, we DO indeed recognize several plants in the manuscript, and oddly enough they are all found only in Northern Italy along with the unique battlements of the one castle depicted in a four page fold-out on one island, all point to the manuscript originating in Northern Italy around 1420 give or take a few years (up to 15). But if you're interested you should take a look at it yourself, I've been discussing and writing on the subject for many years and its still as fascinating as when I first learned about it.

  13. Europe isn't that far from China and the Tocharians aren't really a mystery. Mongols ruled from China to Europe under the Khans, semi-nomadic horse people like the ancient Aryans could easily have done something similar. There were even Indo-European dialects as far as east China once.
  14. Thanks, great video. Most were new to me.
  15. Sailing stones, resolved. Ice forms under making them slide then the friction melts the ice and it stops again. Repeat. *Note, over a long period of time
