Watch the video for a more informative and entertaining experience though the list is below: ➢10. Alligator Gar of Chotard Lake Like a crossed alligator, fish and dinosaur hybrid, the alligator gar is one of the largest freshwater fish in America. And with a long snout of sharp teeth, this predatory fish is also terrifying. In 2011 the largest alligator gar ever caught and officially recorded was 2.6 m (8 ft 5 1⁄4 in) long and weighed 148 kg (327 lb). ➢9. Southern elephant seal of Possession Bay Not only are they the largest seal in the antarctic, Southern elephant seals are the largest pinniped and the largest carnivore alive. According to animal records, the largest recorded specimen was shot in Possession Bay, South Georgia in 1913, and measured 6.85 meters (22.5 feet) long. ➢8. Medusa the Reticulated Python This snake is so frighteningly large that it is primarily kept in a haunted house attraction called 'the edge of hell' in Kansas City, Missouri. Medusa has been recognised by the Guinness world records as the world's longest living snake ever in captivity at an unbelievable 7.67 meters (25 feet & 2 inches) in length. ➢7. Giant Freshwater Stingray of the Mae Klong river It has the largest spine of any stingray species and is one of the largest freshwater fish in the world. One of the largest documented Giants, weighing nearly 350kg (770lbs) was caught by TV nature star Jeff Corwin and several others. It measured 4.3 meters (14ft) long and 2.5 meters (8ft) wide and was caught in the Mae Klong river in thailand. ➢6. Giant Jellyfish of Massachusetts bay At up to 2 and a half meters(8 feet) wide, the lion's mane jellyfish is the world's largest jellyfish. The largest recorded specimen is considered one of the longest known animals in the world, making it longer than a blue whale. It washed up onto Massachusetts bay In 1870 and one of its tentacles measured 73 meters (120 feet). ➢5. Lolong the Saltwater Crocodile Lolong was captured after a three week hunt in 2011 in the phillippines and is believed to be the largest croc ever caught. Lolong measured approximately 6.3 metres (21 ft) long from snout-to-tail and weighed close to 1100kg (2370lbs). ➢4. Giant Oarfish from San Diego These long ribbon-like mystical creatures are the longest known living species of bony fish. The longest photographed appears to be a 7 meter (26ft) giant found off the coast near San Diego, California. Some unconfirmed reports go so far as to claim that they reach as much as 17 meters (56 feet) which almost sounds too big to be true. ➢3. Deep Blue the Great White shark Our closes thing yet to a Megalodon. The biggest great white ever caught on camera, named 'Deep Blue', was only spotted in 2013. The animal is estimated at over 7 meters long (20ft) although published reports suggest that some great whites may be as large as 8 meters long and weigh over 3300 kilos (7328lbs). ➢2. Hercules the Liger Ligers are not imaginary (napolean dynomite). They are the world's biggest cats: A hybrid between a male lion and a female tiger, hence the name. Hercules is almost 4 meters (12ft) tall and weighs over 410kg (900lbs), making him larger than the sabre toothed, prehistoric smilodon. He's definitely not ugly in any way, but his size surely makes him monstrous enough. ➢1. Colossal squid off Antarctica They are true monsters of the deep, and since ONLY 8 have been verified, they are just as elusive as they are mind blowing - and go to show that there's still much to discover. A premature specimen found in 2003 provides evidence to suggest that they could potentially grow up to 750kilos (1650lbs) and 14 meters (46ft) in length which would make them longer than the giant squid.
