18 wheeler is nothing new...but how about a 174 wheeler? Check this out!

recorded on 04/16/11 at the Manzanata Rest Area at Mile Post 63 on Interstate 5 north of Grants Pass, Oregon. The largest semi-truck load I have ever seen! 174 wheels all together including the 2 push trucks behind it. The length of this full unit from bumper to bumper was around 360 feet. Morgan Machinery Moving of Portland, Oregon is the company moving this mammoth beast! The load, with several company and state vehicles departed from this spot at 9:40pm on 4-16 and was in route to California.

  3. 166 wheels
  4. Does anybody know the gross vehicle weight rating for this piece of equipment? I am guessing about 500 tons or a million pounds.
  5. checking tire pressure would be a full time gig
  6. 166 1x 10 wheel truck 4x 32 wheels 2x 14 wheel trucks
  7. Seems to be a "transformer" .. not the autobot/decepticon kind.

  10. Thank you Captain Obvious.
  11. I recounted for 3 times and 3 times I've 'only' counted 146... I'm not trying to be a smartass, just telling.
  12. What exactly does this thing haul?
  13. awh you got him
  14. this must be very difficult to control?
  15. It is 146 wheels including front tractor and trailer, 160 in clouding front and back tractor and trailer, and 174 with the 3 tractors and trailer. so you were right.
  16. This unit is made by K-Line out of Langley, British Columbia, Canada. I was in Washington the day they first tested it. Pretty cool unit.
  17. @TackerVideos 128 on the trailer
  18. Look at the ballast on the pilot tractor. It's sitting pretty low on the springs to get extra traction. The pusher trucks have big ballast as well. It's old school.
  19. @cashcoldgts What is it then?
  20. @vincenzo112277uuppll I believe I stated that after further reading, I found out that it wasn't an Aspen. It's interesting, because, I pull similar configurations of trailers like this one. I'm don't just help "build" them. I've pushed them and I pull them, also. It's interesting, because, being in the industry, you like to see when others are utilizing their big trailers. It's interesting, because, I may look to buy a foreign made trailer, and this IS a foreign made trailer
