  1. Молодец СССР мы самый лучшие )
  2. I'm actually impressed with Flo Jo to have a 48.1 split considering she never practiced for the 400m. No way she was going to run her down. Too big of a lead. That 3rd U.S. anchor did make up alot of ground
  3. This was a great race! I only hope both the Soviets and Americans were clean. BTW the record set here STILL stands as of 2016!
  4. the days of blatant doping !
  5. The 400 is a very hard sprint. I ran it in high school & it's the hardest sprinting event ever. The 400 is definitely not Flo-Jo's strongest. She's much better in the 100 & 200.
  6. Do you realize the 2016 Rio winning time just posted would not have made the medal stand in this race! Best 4x400 race of all time here!
  7. Very Interesting match up. That was a tall order for Flo Jo, taking on 400m champion from behind. Flo Jo ran a very calculated race. She could have easily blown past the Russian in the first 200m. She was actually closing on a bit at the end.
  8. maybe the US would've won if it weren't for the ussr doping lol
  9. great race. remember it well. would like to see usain bolt run the 400 meters
  10. and here she comes!... lol
  11. So all these peeps were clean, but Ben Johnson was?
  12. These commentators are actually shit, they were literally it talking about the US the whole way, and you don't predict an athlete with no high level 400 background to beat the Olympic gold medalists who had a PB of 48.27. I cringed when they thought the 100/200 runner taking out the race behind the 400 meter runner was a "smart move", Flo Jo was insane, but she had no chance of beating an experienced 400 meter runner on the level like the Soviet girl in the straightaway.
  13. ussa fack usa
  14. FloJo was NEVER a threat, the announcers were hording fools gold like crazy. I don't know who else was available, but I remember thinking, this is a mistake. No way FloJo had the legs after running all the sprint rounds, 4x100 relay, and then try to top it off with this. GREEDY.
  15. Nazarova ran 47.80 :O
  16. whaaaattt?! i thought the US won here
  17. I miss FloJo
  18. lol russians were able to beat 4 jungle bunnys
  19. It's a shame that so many athletes back then were clearly on performance enhancing drugs to the where, looking back, it's hard not to actually laugh when confronted by the bulk of the muscle most of the women had.
  20. Flo Jo when she was waiting for the baton, look at her legs with all those steroids and growth hormones.
