   Yes, Thorpe swam the 200 IM, but lost to an 18 year old Phelps at the 2003 World Championships by over 3 seconds.
2. You wonder how Thorpe would do today in the post suit era. Of course, he retired after Phelps broke his world record in the 200 free. Also, he tried to take on Phelps in the 200 IM at the 2003 worlds and lost.

11. Hey guys, this is a Ian Thorpe video, if you want to suck Phelps' balls go and see a Phelps' video.  Both of them are swimming legends, I don't know why there's so much hate.

16. saying Thorpe won because of the suit is like saying klim came second because he's bald, every other swimmer at the time  was allowed the suit and didn't use it, that's not proving anything other that either they didn't prefer it or they were stupid and failed to take an opportunity, if you want nothing that could possably effect drag you would basically need a pool full of naked guys because by that logic the swimmers in their simsimplest form are assisting
