From the worlds largest PB&J sandwich to the man with the longest ear hare (ew), here are 26 of the most unbelievable world records. 18 - Living in a bubble… This interesting record was set by the Yang family in Santa Ana in California. For 27 years the family have been working with soapy bubbles and are actually bubble artists, with 11 world records set involving bubbles. They managed to get 118 people inside a giant bubble on the 4th of April 2011. 17 - Bring out the champagne… Saimir Strati, an Albanian artist, glued thousands of corks together to create this masterpiece. In total 229 764 different corks were used to create “Romea with a crown of grapes playing the guitar while dancing with the sea and the sun.” It took him 28 days working 14 hours every day to complete. 16 - A sight to behold… Chayne Hultgern, aka, Space Cowboy set a world record by pulling 907 pounds with his eye sockets alone! He achieved this in 2009 in Milano, and has also managed to swallow 27 swords in one sitting. 15 - Not your regular pb and j. This is the largest sandwich in the world, prepared by Mexican workers in April 2004. It weighed 6 991 pounds and was crammed with lettuce, cheese and ham. As my mom used to say, it’s a real door-stopper. 14 - Apple of her mom’s eye… Linsey Lindberg is incredibly strong! She managed to set a world record by doing something very unusual… she crushed 8 apples with her biceps. She quit her job as an accountant and now makes living popping hot water bottles and tearing phone directories in half. 13 - Snow joke… This is a pretty interesting world record set by Jin Songhao, who sat inside a mound of snow for 46 minutes and 7 seconds… which is the longest time anyone has had full body contact with snow. 12 - Age is but a number… This guy is amazing; he broke the record for cycling nonstop for an hour in the over 100-year old category! Robert Marchand was born on the 17th of February 1911, and managed to cycle for 15 miles in order to break the record! 11 - Kids Play… This fun record was broken in Shanghai in 2013, where a massive event took place to create awareness for breast cancer. A swimming pool was filled with 1 million pink and green plastic balls, which is the largest ever ball pit created. What a fun record to break! 10 - Round and round… I’m amazed so many people are able to do this! 4483 people broke a world record of the most amount of people hula-hooping at one time. This was done in Taiwan, to promote exercise and good health. 9 - Nerves of steel… This is a very unusual world record, it’s for the most amount of watermelons chopped on a tummy in 60 seconds. It was 2 Aussies who broke the record, 25 watermelons in 1 minute and the guy chopping used a machete. Talk about trust! 8 - Here comes the bride… These days, most brides seem to forgo the train for their wedding dress… but not this bride. It broke the world record for the longest train ever, it measured over 9000 feet and took 1857 needles to make, over the course of 100 days! 7 - Something to be proud of! Radhakant Baijpai has a very bizarre world record, his ear hair measures just under 10 inches! He believes that the long ear hair is a symbol of prosperity and luck and hasn’t trimmed it since he was 18 years old. 6 - A magnetic personality… He is considered the human magnet, Etibar Elchiyev managed to stick 53 spoons to his body without them falling off! I really have no idea how he manages to keep those spoons there! 5 - She works hard for her money… At the age of 85. Sheila Vogel-Couple is officially the world’s oldest prostitute. She says she goes for regular check-ups to ensure she remains healthy, and does admit that there are certain things she just won’t do. I’m not keen to find out though! 4 - No bra, no problem… Who knew records like this existed, but they do… Chris Nicholson managed to remove the bra of 20 women in just 1 minute. And he currently holds the record that mean feat. 3 - How do you like your eggs? October of 2010 saw the creation of the world’s largest omelette. It was made in celebration of World Egg Day in Ankara. It weighed 6 tonnes, used 432 litres of oil and 110 000 eggs! 2 - Brush, Rinse, Spit… 10 800 students in the Philippines got together to break the world record of the most amount of people brushing their teeth at once. To make this record even weirder, in order for the record to be deemed legit, all 10 800 students had to spit at the same time. Must have been a little challenging but what a sight to see! 1 - I smurf you… This is one record breaker I would have loved to participate in. 2510 Smurf fans gathered at Swansea University to make it into the Guinness book of world records, for the largest smurf gathering ever!
