And then the great news for you is that she is back in the saddle and answering all your questions again! This weeks video is exciting. It is the 3 biggest mistakes riders make trying to get their horse through and on the bit. Natasha gives a lesson to Montana and goes through in detail the 3 common mistakes made. Due to the fact that this video was quite long, this video has the 1st mistake made by riders. To view the other 2 mistakes and the full video simply head to our website (please see link above). So what are the 3 biggest mistakes made by riders regarding this. I believe they are 1/ Not getting the horse forward enough, 2/ Not clear on how and where the horses head should be and 3/ Not having a consistent and steady outside rein. We hope you enjoy this video and learn lots from this lesson. Until next week, happy and safe riding :)

  1. Her heels were bugging me(: beautiful horse!
  2. The thoroughbred thing she talks about is EXACTLY my problem with my horse. It's really hard to get her on the bit. It's really frustrating sometimes. But besides that, I really love her!
  3. Was it just me or did she really need to push her heels down? 😂😂😂
  4. Do you have an Instagram account???
  5. and thank you for helpfull video
  6. I know it is late but I hope you will have nice baby like you
  7. Zorro is such a great name for that horse omg
  8. I'm a show jumping rider, and I used to ride one of those very lazy, heavy, big striding and powerful horses, it was always a challenge to get him forward and I learned to just let him walk a lot with loose reins, make some big circles and serpentines to bend his spine little by little. I started with a very slow almost stopping trot, it was pointless to try to get him forward on the beginning, I would get tired and he wouldn't go forward. But after 20min he would be on the bit, back and hindquarters engaged and listening to my aids. This warm up process proved to be useful with other big lazy horses I rode after him. So, is it better to let the horse find his stride or push him forward from the start?
  9. he looks so wise
  10. Sorry, I meant thanks ;-)
  11. This actually really helped me, particularly the first one, since I am riding a horse that doesnt go forward at all :-) tga
  12. is it just me or are her heels up not down?
  13. how do i know when im on the hore that it is going enough forward?
  14. the go pro on the rider is a great idea

and i also whanted to ask you this:
can i please work for you??
i whant to be a professional horse rider but i have not yet dicided if i whant dressage or jumping..
and i have to start somewhere...
    pleeeasseee???

i speak inglish fluently and spanish i have been around horse since i was born i can do all types of work in your stables cleaning boxes and horses fedding hay and riding horse of all levels there are still some advanced exercecies in dressage that i need to work... my proffessord says i am talented for jumping and dressage in jumping the maximum that i jumped was 1.20cm and participated in competions of dressage and jumping
hard work would not be a problem at all this past summer i went to austria and i worked to ernst bachinger (5x times champion of dressage in austria and ex-director of the spanish riding school of viena) and to ulrike wagner his wife and owner of the stables the work i made there was clean the horses and sladles ride 3 and sometimes 4 horses a day (from novice and medium levels) and also the stables work like cleaning boxes picking up the horses from paddock etc.. (also i have no problem working with difficult horses) so its not the first time i would go out of my country (portugal)again, i am not scared of hard work at all and i can do whatever you have to offer.
there is one problem i am 15 years old and i make 16 this year in 26 dezember so that means im still in school i could work for you in chritmas break, easter break and summer break for as long as i could! i would be 200% dedicated to work and 200% available everytime to work. for example 6.00 am to 11:00 pm
