We at Dressage Mastery Academy are super proud of Natasha as she is back riding only 10 days after giving birth to her 2nd child. The body takes a while to get back into shape and used to riding with weakened muscles but here she is delivering a fantastic lesson for you this week. This weeks video is exciting. It is all about the 3 biggest mistakes riders make with their seat in sitting trot. The 1st mistake is not getting in the saddle enough and just doing the sitting trot. The more you do something the better you get at it. It goes back to Malcolm Gladwell's research that says, 'do 10,000 hours in anything and you'll become a genius at it'. The 2nd and 3rd mistake are vitally important also. To watch and listen to these go to the link and you can continue watching. http://www.dressagemastery.com/freevideo2 We hope you enjoy this video and learn lots from this lesson. Until next week, happy and safe riding :)

  9. Oh boy. I started taking lessons 7 months ago after taking 10 years off of competitive riding (bad accident). I was so floppy. Flippy. Out of balance. Here, there, everywhere. But after about 6 rides my muscle memory started coming and in a few weeks I'll start jumping again.
  10. So enjoy your videos and that you are so genuine... in addition to congratulations I appreciate your bravery in sharing and helping us with all the nuances that go into being a better rider.... Cheers....
  11. I have a question
Why when I ride the saddle slips back??I mean I start by having my saddle up to place it should and when the lesson is close to rhe end I find out that my saddle has moved about 15cm backwards??Why does this happen???

I mean im sitll bouncing a bit but at least im ¨sitting¨ in the saddle. Do you have a video on how to control a nervous horse?? A horse in my stable just had a foal last month and now when we are back training her she is very nervous, doesnt stand still. Do you have any good advice for me?
  19. you should make a video on canter pirouettes or trot and canter half passes
  20. Love your videos! Congrats on the baby!!!

my sitting trot got a lot better by riding bareback. Kinda forces you to keep balanced and learn to move with the horse.
