14. I am going to say this until I see a change in the industry. These 3d printing manufacturers are price gouging the fuck out this market. Think about it. First, we've had ink plotters since the '70's. Then we've had various flavours of paper printers (inkjet(lots of hi tech in the cartridges), laser(very fast, uses a laser), plotter, dot matrix(those impact heads of 9 or 24 pins are extremely hi tech for the era invented, runs hot, uses high speed electromagnets to impact pins), etc) When you realize the electronics is almost identical (I don't want any morons claiming "there's a lot more to these than a regular printer!") Nope, all these printers are, are just either a glorified glue gun on movable platform (think ink plotters) or a laser head moving on rails and a function to move the print base up and down. You build a rudimentary 3d printer using an arduino, 2 or 3 cd or dvd drawers with stepper motors and heater unit for the filament. These printers, like LASER PRINTER TODAY, should be no more expensive than a decent laser printer. Even the resin/laser based printers are way overpriced. It pisses me off, because you are paying for what the printer does, not what it costs to manufacture or get out to you.That's 60 bucks for an inkjet or laser printer....even these "economy priced models" are guilty of it....they are offering the exact same damn thing in 3 different sizes...and do you really think there is any fundamental difference other than print size?!?! Stifling creativity and gouging the fuck out of us for the sake of maximizing profits pisses me off.

    Most of these either went bust, or have been discontinued, or have serious ongoing issues, as of January 2017.
