If the legitimacy of a show comes into question, audiences stop watching, advertisers drop out, and millions go un-won, so it’s important to keep things on the level. Still, despite preventative anti-cheating measures, a few crafty individuals have won big by beating the system. Here are a few of TV’s most notable modern day Robin Hoods... 9. The first one wasn't a cheater. Pattern recognition is a skill! Get better programmers on your gameboard.
  10. Yeah its not cheating if you identify a flaw, simply by understanding its pattern then owning it. There was no deliberate action to alter it.

  12. Michael didn't cheat, they proved this and he walked. so I don't even know why he's on your list.
  13. After the Michael Larson experience on Press Your Luck, the creators came up with more patterns for the lighting of the board tiles. Michael did great, because he memorized the basic pattern the show had at that time. But when changes were made, there were more random patterns being used, making it next to impossible to memorize a sequence, because it would not follow the same order on each spin. But fun while it lasted for Me. Larson. :)
  14. I don't see the guy who memorized the patterns as cheating. That's using skill to win.
  15. the price is right one is not cheating even if the person in the audience gave hand signals thats part of the show to ask the audience
  16. Most of theses weren't technically cheating, they were more people doing their homework beforehand and employing their strategy on the show.
  17. Larson wasn't cheating. He was just smart.
  18. 4 of the 5 didn't cheat. Number 2 was a cheater because he had outside help. #1 studied patterns, #3 studied human behaviors, #4 both contestants were coached by the game show staff (putting both on level footing as it was head to head), #5 studied prizes. You can go a long ways if you freaking study!
  19. Memorizing the pattern is not cheating, he was just smart and deserved to win.
  20. Michael Larson didn't cheat. He studied a pattern and beat the show with pure skill under immensely pressure.
