  1. That Subaru Baja could prolly run circles around an FJ cruiser on that trail...probably.
  2. How is he this bad at driving off road?!??I've done worse trails in fwd early 90's dodges.Plymouth Sundance bombing down ATV trails and in winter, snowmobile trails gets you a lot of disbelieving looks...Especially when you don't get stuck.Good tires+Aftermarket LSD+150 lb/ft of torque =best car I've had
  3. Is it really an off-road? I'm sure I can drive through it on my Honda HR-V 2000 SUV...
  4. Great video. This kid is humble. Knows what he can and can't do. Much respect.
  5. Reference 1:17
Ya gotta love the optimism of Subaru owners. We think we can move the rock, with our bare hands, that our car has just been stopped dead from impacting. "Maybe the car just loosened it up."
  6. What's the point of ruining the outback with those oversized if it's just going to bottom out over everything. Especially if you can get a Cherokee trailhawk with lockers, low range and off road tires from the factory with a 6 cylinder that actually is good
  7. Awesome video! thanks 👍
  8. wouldn't power be an issue with these i have one and its very gutless
  9. Hey man do you have a link to the shades on the side of the outback? just bought a new forrester and I have to have that
  10. ...at 2:28 can your Subaru do that?
    Love it.
  11. It always amazes me how a 4 inch rock, in the "correct" position can stop a 4x4. In Moab we'd breeze past these dudes struggling to go over what we'd have no trouble with. Man vs machine ..... Of course we all have sore arses at the end of the day but the dudes in the 4x4s got zero workout ;)
  12. What did you do to mount the spare on the back?
  13. but it does not have live axles
  14. Had a stock '83 all wheel drive with hi and low range, only about 7" ground clearance, (though better approach and departure than new Subie's) ...and took that thing all over the place off-roading.
When I knew I couldn't rock crawl or mud bog it, I went around on the side of trails in place that would flip a typical SUV over in seconds, and my Subaru was so narrow it could ride on banks of trails. You could look back an see my little tracks on crazy routes that left buddies with their larger SUV's cracking up.
They didn't quite "respect" the Subaru (especially at first), but they knew it's all I had and at least broke down to admitting it could do far more than they expected, and even went past some spots that got them stuck. Of course these were friends and I didn't have too much trouble with respect... but they were surprised and reluctant sometimes because it was from Japan, and had been taught (of course) but older relatives to hate it.
Heres another area that car kicked ass--- very slippery, ice/snow roads. I could find at least one wheel on something other than ice, keep in 4 low (wis they still had that), and crawl up steep country roads that froze the daytime melt-off to a thin sheet of ice. With enough occasional bumps from mud and snow here and there, the '83 Subaru climbed more than one road like that where Ford pickups, International Scouts, Jeeps, Blazers, etc... couldn't follow me. I couldn't follow them through bogs and over tree trunks, but they couldn't follow me everywhere either. The traction was ridiculous. Maybe even better than the new ones.
  15. Why not just stay in the city with the false jews who give you money that they borrowed from people who actually created wealth. Pissing away the wealth of Americans, fcking destroyer of America.
  16. Haha love this vid! Reminds me of "The Office"
  17. Pity about some of the abusive comments. The owner obviously realizes the limitations of the Outback but has chosen to modify it somewhat to have so much fun and show us what it can really do. I would definitely  not do that to my Subaru but enjoyed his more extreme approach to just a standard vehicle. The way to progress and make a better  product is to experiment or try something new. This is precisely what he had done.
  18. Awesome.
  19. What kind of horn is on that rig?
