Fastest tortoise The greatest speed achieved by a tortoise is 0.28 m/s (0.92 ft/s) and was achieved by Bertie at Adventure Valley, Brasside, UK on 9 July 2014. Shortest cow The shortest cow is Manikyam, owned by Akshay N.V. (India), in Kerala, India. She measured 61.1 cm (24.07 in) from the hoof to the withers on 21 June 2014.
