  1. All this time I thought it was part of some great plot hidden in many layers. Nope. I wondered why the universes were different. I also wish they explained the heart virus.
  2. Here's a BIG plot hole for ya! Beerus & Whis are millions of years old. Beerus was told by the Oracle fish, many years before any of the Z fighters (including Goku) were born, that a Super Saiyan God would defeat him. Since Trunks comes from the original timeline, where all the Z fighters are killed by the Androids, then wouldn't Trunks be the Super Saiyan God that beats Beerus???! Wouldn't Beerus be looking for Trunks on Earth in his universe? Trunks could just use the time machine again and meet up with everyone, to do the Super Saiyan God ritual. Trunks would have also had to have gone SS3 to fight Fat Buu in his timeline (if he gets enough power to be released). He could also go to Namek, and wish everyone back. Goku would already be much stronger due to training in other world.
  3. Wow. You're kind of an asshole to toriyama, "in typical toriyama fashion" really? All writers make errors and occasionally forget things. I bet you would make atleast as many mistakes in his place.
  4. he became famous yet his work sucks. its so ironic.
  5. 1:29 Proof Vegeta was going to go SSJ
  6. this may not be true viz media had many mistakes In their translation so it could have been one of them
  7. I think the sheer power of the androids are a plot hole in and of themselves.
  8. I have to say, you're an idiot. Much of this is explained in the anime. While yes, it wasn't explained very well in the manga, they explained it perfectly well in the Anime. Trunks building the time machine, and coming back the first time changed some things. And certain things didn't happen. Things that weren't important to the integrity of the future, other than the z fighters surviving maybe a little longer. What DID change things, is when Trunks goes back home, and he gets knocked out by Cell. Cell, then stealing the time machine, and going back even FURTHER than Trunks did.

Cell going back in the past further, he somehow influenced something. Something that changed the path of Dr. Gero. Instead of just activating Androids 17 and 18, who would have been named 19 and 20, he instead named them 17 and 18, and decided he wanted to live on past death along with his creations. Thus changing the androids that showed up.

Even when Trunks comes back to tell them he killed the androids in HIS timeline, he sees that the android that Vegeta kills ISN'T the androids form HIS timeline.

Later on, he figures out why this is. He establishes that time travel in their universe, is not linear. You cannot change something and affect the present. Instead, you create an ALTERNATE timeline, that exists along side the current one.

And every thing that changes, affects EVERYTHING ELSE. It's a snowball effect.

There I explained it to you, it's not that hard, and if you watched the original Funimation version, you would know all this. This info, is largely cut out of every other version of DBZ after the Funimation\Cartoon Network originals.
  9. Toriyama seriously just needs to make up his mind. He's already left many very noticable plot-holes and now he's leaving another.
  10. wheres the problem
  11. this is answered. Goku being alive alone changes things. Maybe in the HOT timeline Jero didn't press the off button in time so he and 19 are killed. 17 and 18 might have heard of his plans to appear at that island and decided what the hey.
  12. I liked 19 and 20, whish they had survived a lot longer. Especially 20.

But are you sure that the manga version was translated correctly?

Why I think that is, because a story draft and concepts are handed out before release and realizations. I know, that this was his former editor, but if he had so much respect for him, it's a bit weird that Toriyama didn't send the former editor at least sketches.
  13. Possible Topic: What would have happened if Goku was healed by Dende and able to fight Frieza in the first form with the rest of Z fighters?
  14. I think he called 20 and 19 "old fart" and "fatso".
  15. THIS MAN NEEDS MORE SUBS
  16. This was a great video! Quick question if they were to just edit and change 19 and 20 to 17 and 18 would that cover up the plothole?
  17. Good work brother. The only thing that COULD cover this is that the Trunks that came back the 2nd time after the 3 year skip was from a... different... time... line... ??????????????

In the anime, Trunks did not even say 17 or 18 when he talked to Goku.
