Anti-Gravity Wheel?

Explanation of gyro precession: http://bit.ly/U4e8HQ More: http://bit.ly/GyroMORE Less Than: http://bit.ly/GyroLESS Equal To: http://bit.ly/GyroEQUAL Huge thanks to A/Prof Emeritus Rod Cross, Helen Georgiou for filming, Alex Yeung, and Chris Stewart, the University of Sydney Mechanical Engineering shop, Duncan and co. Ralph and the School of Physics. In this video I attempt to lift a 19kg (42 lbs) wheel over my head one-handed while it's spinning at a few thousand RPM. This replicates an earlier experiment by Professor Eric Laithwaite. He claimed the wheel was 'light as a feather' and could not be explained by Newton's Laws. I wanted to find out for myself what I really felt like. Music By Kevin MacLeod www.Incompetech.com "Tempting Secrets"

  1. Every time he said shaft, I giggled like the immature little child I am.
  2. if you spin it the opposite direction it pulls rely hard down
  3. are you kidding me? ..
  4. I wish I had a meter long shaft...
  5. Am I the only one who thinks the thumbnail has changed?
  6. pls some1 ex to me

  8. hey! i can hear you!
  9. it just a edit!
  10. Hey, it's Sydney uni!
  11. Gyro is one of the most fascinating forces on Earth in my opinion.
  12. Ohh that's how in Mario 64 Mario can spin bowser
  13. equal the fact the object is spinning doesnt change its mass
  14. Fascinating how a motion defies gravity.
  15. all of that technology all of that work and all you did was try to lift it above your head I'm sorry does that say 113000 likes
  16. if only searl had a drill, PROBABLY WOULDN'T OF NEARLY FROZEN HIS HAND OFF
  17. Pier Luigi Ighina & Marconi they have uncovered the magnetic atom
  18. when it rotate in opposite direction of Earth then what happend????????????????
  19. So cool. I had no idea this was a thing. What if the same principle was attempted with vibration? Could a heavy object become very light if it oscillated at a fast enough frequency? Could you move a giant rock if it was vibrating really really fast? Please do this test!
