Astro Kasih - GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ OFFICIAL ATTEMPT FOR LONGEST UNDERWATER CLEANUP



Astro aims to set a new Guinness World Records™ title for the Longest Underwater Cleanup from 6th -- 13th April 2013. This 168 consecutive-hour, 7-day & night underwater cleanup will take place at 14 dive sites surrounding Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. 140 qualified divers from Malaysia, France, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, USA, Lithuania, Switzerland, Hong Kong and the Netherlands will take part in this dive attempt. These include volunteer divers from various professions such as cardiologists, marine biologists, architects, chemists, journalists, as well as officers from the Royal Malaysian Police, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement, Fire and Rescue Department, together with the Hong Kong Police Force. Besides that, this attempt will also see qualified divers from all ages take part in this dive, with the oldest being 63 years old.
