Austin, Fosbury & Davis - High Jump Record Breakers



With Charles Austin holding the Olympic High Jump record since Atlanta 1996, we look at how the record has progressed through time to his 2:39m height. Walter Davis became Olympic champion at the 1952 Olympic Games after set an Olympic record of 2:04m. With a height of 2:24m, Dick Fosbury won gold at Mexico City 1968 after pioneering the Fosbury Flop. Charles Austin set the current High Jump Olympic record of 2:39m at Atlanta 1996.
