Basketball: Aussies break record with 181-metre high shot

Basketball: Aussies break record with 181-metre high shot This Guy Just Achieved An INSANE World Record Basketball Shot — Watch It Go Down HERE! Steph Curry eat your heart out! The Golden State Warriors three-point king was put in his place after a world record was broken with a 181m shot from the top of Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland. And it was a team of Australians who showed the NBA superstar how to really hit a long range bomb! The How Ridiculous team made half-court buzzer beaters look tame as they climbed to the top of the dam, took aim and shot the ball into the abyss – waiting nearly nine seconds to see if the ball had found its target. Amazingly, it took the Aussies only three attempts to claim the Guinness World Record with successful shot seemingly taking a wicked turn at the end of its flight. THE Dude Perfect crew set a ridiculous world record earlier this year by hitting a miraculous 533-foot (162 metres) shot from atop a skyscraper — and their mark has just been crushed by a bunch of Aussies. Perth-based group How Ridiculous held the world record prior to the US’ Dude Perfect. They travelled to the breathtaking Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland and nailed a 593-foot (180 metre) shot in (reportedly) just three attempts. Look at the way the ball curves over the final 100 feet. In case you haven't been on the Internet in a while, basketball trick shots are fun and a pretty big thing right now. One video, however, takes the art of the trick shot (literally) to new heights. A group of Australian YouTubers known as "How Ridiculous" made a Guinness World Record 593-foot basketball shot off the top of Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland, breaking the previous record of 533 feet set earlier this year. You can watch the entire video below, with the actual shot coming at the 2:16 mark. On Sunday, a group of three Australians called How Ridiculous scored the World's Highest Basketball shot, which is an AMAZING achievement. The last person to hold that title was Dude Perfect, who made a shot standing on top of a building 533-feet above a basketball hoop. Related: This Model Is The Guinness World Record Holder For What?! As for the How Ridiculous gang, they took their shot off the top of Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland. The Mauvoisin Dam in Valais is one of the ten highest in the world. Luckily for us, the trio were able to capture the whole thing on camera, a feat they captioned with this excited message: "On only the THIRD attempt, Derek breaks the Guinness World Record for the highest basketball shot ever, swishing one from a massive 180.968m (593.73 feet) off the top of Mauvoisin Dam in Switzerland!"
