Best 3D Printer Under $200 - Tevo Tarantula Full Review

Tevo Tarantula: http://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/ZjURbii It arrived very well packaged with thick protective foam, even the box was unscratched! The building process was enjoyable and is something I highly recommend to anyone as it is a great way to learn more about electronics! It's not perfect, it does need a couple of minor modifications. All of which is described in the video. You need a cooling nozzle, spool holder and a reinforced Z-motor mount. Obviously the settings inside your slicer impacts the result as well. I was happy when I realised the bed could reach high enough temperature in order to print ABS filament. This was great news, as my Anet A8 is not capable of reaching higher than 70°C and ABS requires at least 95°C. In conclusion the printer is amazing! Not only is the bed remarkable, but it's way more quiet than my other 3D printers. The quality of the prints was absolutely stunning as well. Because of the bowden extruder it might have a hard time printing with flexible filament, but you will be able to print at very high speeds without compromising quality. 1. Hi everyone, I hope you are doing great! If you consider buying this printer there's numerous different versions you can choose from. In the review I use the "Standard Printer" for 198$. Find it here: http://bit.ly/2mSmAv5
  2. So that's like a prusa I3?
  3. Under 200, is 198 .-.
  4. Should I get this or the monoprice select mini for my first printer? This one seems slightly higher quality for similar price, but the assembly looks quite advanced. Any help would be appreciated. I'll be getting one soon. Thanks! @RCLifeOn
  5. do not print that spool mount if you are planning put 1KG filament it breaks
  6. Did you chose the automatic leveling option?
  7. Hi, thanks for the great video which explained so much. I just got a da vinci jr pro for$450 on amazon for a first 3d printer. Did I make a good choice? Is it better then the printer in this video?
  8. Very good review! I bough my Tarantula 2 weeks ago (for $193 on aliexpress) after watching it. Finished assembling it yesterday evening, it was great experience. Not a single part or nut was missing. I was able to make a few prints, including a perfectly sized 20mm cube without any calibration besides the bed leveling. Thanks!

BTW: it came with Marlin firmware, not Repetier like most other reviewers say.
  9. It doesnt' seem to be going for under $200 anymore.
  10. how did you connect the two additional fans electrically?
  11. My only problem is that I just want them to ship the thing. It's been 9 days since I paid. Anyone in the US willing to wait a very long time for the device to ship is welcomed purchase.
  12. Are you serious?... you made upgrades for your tarantula but you do nothing for the A8... this is unfair
My A8 can print a better 3DBenchy than your A8
    Bad review
    Probably equal machine
+1 for the tarantula aluminium frame
+1 for the A8 for printing flex becoz of the Direct Drive extruder
  13. hi rclifeon. i'm considering buying this printer (i'm a newb and this will be my first printer). im wondering if i should get the printer with the optional "Flex" print head? is it worth it if i want to use flexable filament?
  14. Malyan M150 i3 or Tevo Tarantula ?
  15. @RCLifeOn Would you recommend this printer or the Anet A8?
  16. the shipping on aliexpress has me confused is it free shipping to usa
  17. stella review thanks very much
  18. thanks a lot! does it include s/w or which one you use? which speed you used to print the mount/spool holder? it is 12V or 24V?
  19. Hi, I have a question which one is better the tarantula or the prusa i3
  20. The fans say they are 24 volt?!
