3. Hello there, I am seeking a Class C RV that has NO SLIDES. I would like it to be able to handle Vancouver winters, as we have started getting an uncharacteristic amount of snow and cold this year and it is unlike any other. I just do not want tanks or hoses to freeze and crack or break. I would seek something to ease the power consumption such as a generator, solar panels, and deep cycle batteries. I would hope that it is between 20 and 25 feet long. I do not want to buy from a dealership that has commission staff, because I know they are rewarded for adding more to your bill, and in addition to that, many add all kinds of unnecessary fees to your bill. I know that the less they give you on any trade in is more of a commission reward for the sales person as well. I am wondering in all honesty do you believe Thor is superior in quality to Winnebago?
   
   I prefer a Chevy cab to a Ford cab because Chevy does not seem to have the alignment issues a lot of Fords seem to have, and they have more leg room in the cab due to a smaller dog house. Of course I would want one that has no water nor moisture damage nor any mold, etc. I do not want to pay through the nose and drive it off the lot and in 30 seconds lose 30 grand in depreciation, so I would want something perhaps a little bit older but still relatively new say around the 2006 to 2014 range. I would really like a small bath tub, though they are hard to find, and porcelain toilet and tub, and stainless steel sink(s). Fantastic fans are a good idea and I know I would likely have to get it myself to avoid the death kiss of humidity, but I would buy a de-humidifier. Would you have any such a beast in your selection?

6. this is a beautiful home, but I think it may be a bit excessive with the amount of beds O.o guess I could just choose to make them extra storage slots or transform them into an office of sorts?

11. A few have asked about a license. You do not NEED one BUT the CDL manual is recommended reading from me a 32 year OTR Vet. and CDL driving instructor from back in the mid 90's! The book can be gotten at the licensing place or downloaded from your states bureau. Read the book and understand what bigger vehicles need to know and then most dealers might have an orientation driving class you could take. Never turn down any free or paid training! Also go to trucker websites and even RV ones for tips or advice.

16. This is an honest question... Why does the Class C cost as much if not more than some Class A models? Even most 5th Wheels are far less, with more living space and some have more features. We've been doing extensive research the past 2 months and just couldn't place our hand on to why the cost of the Class C is so high compared to others.

18. For some reason, I got bit by the RV bug later in life @ 62. These things really intrigue the heck out of me. A month or so ago, at Samuel P. Taylor Park here
    in Marin County, California, There was a couple together BBQ'ing in front of
    a THOR "Vegas" motor coach RV. Thatg thing was drop dead gorgeous. Long story
    short, they allowed me to take a peek inside, and it is every bit as liveable
    as any home, and is quite plush inside. This particular couple retired -- they're
    married -- and were living in the proverbial "empty nest", sold it, and bought
    the THOR, and have never looked back. They had just gotten back from
    Alaska, and not once even so much as entertained getting a motel room
    somewhere. They made the trip entirely in their RV, and also LIVE IN IT
    full time, and they LOVE IT. I can see why. It even had satellite TV
    inside, and another flat screen behind a door on the patio side of the RV.
    They were B B'ing and watching the Giants game on the exterior TV set
    when I walked up. Nice people they were. I wish them the best.
19. I'm having a difficuly time distinguishing the difference between class "B" and class "C" motor coaches. I keep forgetting.
20. Dan Uhase: You don't need a special provision driver license, but as the other poster said, a bus/truck driving class or two under your belt before delivery definately
    would be an asset, and you'd feel more comfortable. The only thing I've ever had to really watch out for is HEIGHT and rear-end swing-out during turns; particularly
    tight right turns. Other than that, they're really quite easy to drive. I wouldn't
    want to have to parallel park one of these bad boys, but you get my drift. Good luck
