BIG MARYLAND VELVET 8 POINT BUCK Self-Videoed NOCKTURNAL NOCK Bow Whitetail

"I LIKE'EM IN VELVET" This was my very first afternoon hunt of the 2013 Maryland bow season. This is also my very first velvet buck. For some reason the video is compressed and it makes things look thinner. Check out some of my other self-videoed whitetail kills.

  1. awesome video! nice buck. i cant wait next weekend is opening weekend im so excited. i love bow hunting. actually just moved to maryland, I am in the military and stationed here for another year. I have been looking for property to hunt on in montgomery county im not to familar with the area.
  2. my first bow kill was a 5x5 whitey in full velvet and still my best buck to date..I love deer in velvet and in early season I think its probably when they taste the best as well haha..great video and nice buck!
  3. Good shot, wish it was me though. I used to live in Maryland and truly miss the majesty of the outdoors of this beautiful State the Whitetails, geese, the montains the low country of the Eastern Shore. When they say America in miniature they didn't get it wrong true in every sense of the word. South Florida is were I am and haven't seen a deer in five year's. They may be the reason I pick up my belonging's and head back North. The sun is alright but there is nothing like Deer hunting. Good job!
  4. No, Montgomery County, right next to Washington DC.
  5. Looks like western md
  6. Awesome hunt
  7. Hope you do. Good luck and keep me posted on how you do.
  8. Wow that's really good. The property I hunt has a bunch of deer. So Idk how long it will Last. But if they love it. How your saying that means I will be getting deer from the same tree as well. :)
  9. The stuff I got was in bucket and was a powder and grain formula. As far as how long it will last I guess it all depends on the number of deer that visit it and the weather (rain and snow). I just got another doe from the same tree last week. That's 4 deer so far this season and 3 have been from this tree. Something sure keeps bringing them back!
  10. I just bought some of that buckfuel soy sauce. Is it a block? Or is it in a bag? How long would a 25 pound one last? Thank you.
  11. Way to go. Archery is a 1 on 1 sport and that is why FIY (film it yourself) is so awesome. I developed a head cam product that used any camera, camcorder, or smart phone that you might be interested in. Makes life much easier for us FIY'ers. Watch the videos on my channel for more info and demos. Great video, shot, and congrats on a fine velvet buck! Liked!
  12. deer in private land are so much calmer than deer in public land.
  13. Thanks, glad you liked it. Yea, he was looking at me. You can see him jerk his head up at the last second. I wear 3-D leafy camo shirt, pants and headnet and before he could figure out what was going on the arrow was on its way. It's hard to tell but the arrow went into his shoulder and exited in front of his left shoulder.
  14. I actually really enjoyed this video. I'm going to try filming my hunts this year for the first time and boy, it looks like a challenge...moving that all around and trying to get a shot while staying calm! When you took the shot was he looking up at you? I couldn't really tell. Bet your heart was a poundin'!! Great buck, and great footage!
  15. This is awesome!
  16. I put a stand in a big white oak like you did here in Perry County Pa, should be a good killin spot. Nice video!
  17. Private.
