Biggest Bear Ever Killed HUGE!!!(pending confirmation)

He had a broken jaw from a scrap with another bear and was badly arthritic in his knees. By pulling a tooth from the bear, the Alaska Fish & Game determined he was 18 years old. He squared out at 9' 11", but in his prime was probably much bigger. The official SCI score was 29 5/16" which ties him for #20 in the book. One of the most impressive things about this bear was probably his claws. Anywhere from 5 to 7 inch's, and the longest claws anybody at the Fish & Game had ever seen. God did not put animals on earth for trophy hunting but as the circle of life. I am all for hunting and fishing. In fact I catch catfish and crappie and eat all the time. 4. I didn't think Maine had browns or grizzlies. That had to be some mistake. I'm pretty sure in the U.S.A. there is only two possibly three states that have grizzlies. Montana, Wyoming, and thats it.

16. Yeah this was actually shot in Alaska a few years ago, the hide was 9 feet long, so the bear was probably 9 1/2 to 10 ft tall on two legs. weighed at least 1,000 pounds. claws are huge.

I saw these pics in the paper, along with reading the article, the guy is a forest ranger, the bear charged him twice, the second time he had no choice but to shoot it, they said it was most likely an old bear, and saw him as and easier meal, just old and hungry, unfortunetly, it got the bear killed
