I am actually shocked that a hammerhead ate a fish of that size. Hammerheads usually have very small mouths & out of proportion to it body. They usually feed on sardines & small fish around that size or even plankton.. it had to be a humongous hammerhead which it looked like it was.. FYI guys hammerheads have are very sensitive to movement in water & because of the way their eyes are on their body. They see better than any other Sharks.. not smart to try to hand feed any shark no less any really huge one or to put both your hands in the water with food.. not if you want to keep your hands buddy.

Thats a hammerhead. As long as you don't put your hand directly in their little mouths you'll be fine. We get packs of them every year on east coast of Australia, I surf and they have never showed slightest signs of aggression.
