3. There is a female big wave surfer who rode this wave too... She nearly died, she said later one of the bumps riding down broke her ankle. She had to be towed to shore and given CPR. She recovered and came back to ride the same wave, granted on the shoulder but still. They're all amazing even the ones who wipeout. These waves are monstrous
