Blow Bigger Vape Clouds and Extend Battery Life! ADJUST OHM, SMOK MODS HOW TO AND WHY Ohmage ALIEN

This video shows how and why to change the ohmage setting for any smok mod. You can extend your battery life and change the cloud size by adjusting the ohmage of your mod. Going back into the settings repeatedly will allow for you to keep changing the ohmage more and more up to 1.7 ohm's or so and as low as nearly 0.

5. The thicker the wire and more wraps i.e. More ohms, the more energy it will take for the electrons to heat up the wire.

11. OK my mod is at .400ohmag and drag about 25 and 30 watts and it makes good clouds, after watching your video you said we should put the ohmag at .187 and would it make bigger clouds doing that! let me know if I got the right settings.

17. Does anyone else use .4 coils and burn them out in 2 days? I have my ohms set at .400 and I'm hitting it on N. Problem is that my coils are burning out in 2-3 days. I'm confused and don't know why!? Any help is appreciated!
18. You are doing the exact same thing as you would if you just turned up or down your wattage.
    If you make the device think it's a lower resistance, it will put out less voltage to reach a certain wattage.
    But you didn't change the actual resistance of the coil, so you will just be putting less voltage through the same resistance, therefore you are still vaping at a lower wattage. The only reason why it says more wattage with less resistance is because you changed a value in it's on board calculator. Ohms law is still the law. Voltage is voltage, resistance is resistance, amperage is amperage.
    The adjust ohms feature is for temperature control coils, because their resistance changes at different temperatures, and if you unscrew a hot ss coil and screw it back in, you might end up with a resistance that you know is not right, so you can adjust it.
    If you want longer battery life, just bump down the wattage.
19. Great info. Been using the Alien for a couple of weeks and couldn't handle anything over 60 watts. I thought I was a softy. Adjusted the Ohms to .15 from the .23 that it was reading and I am now hitting 100 watts with great flavor. Totally transformed this mod for me. Thanks and subbed.
20. I'll hit you with a little secret.... you see how it only let you adjust a little? Well keep going back into settings and it will let you keep going higher and or lower.... so you hit 1.87 fire it... go back in settings and go down more from .87 to .74
