Brandon Ingram On Summer Workout Plans With Kobe Bryant, Leading This Team

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram says he plans to work out with Kobe Bryant this summer. Plus, Ingram talks about the feedback he received from Magic and Rob Pelinka and the process he's gone through of becoming more vocal on the court. Ingram says he now views himself as a leader and as someone who brings confidence to his teammates. Ingram also admits he had rookie of the year goals in his mind to start the season but moved beyond that after the second half and started to look more big picture. 12. Ingram's offseason assignment is rather easy: 1) Just keep making steady (NOT quick) gains in the weight room, and 2) KEEP WORKING ON YOUR SHOT!!! Kid's so self-motivated, working out with Kobe's gonna be worth it in the long run. People want to compare him to Durant, but mentally I think he fits the mold of a Giannis Antetokounmpo or a more offensively-gifted version of Tayshaun Prince. Either way, Lakers got a young winning ballplayer on their hands and in due time THE real leader of this young core...

18. What i'd remember most about BI's rookie season:
    - how he brushed off the rookie wall and showed consistent improvement every month that he played
    - his face when he went after Greg Monroe, and his subsequent tweet
    - his monster dunk and reaction in the Pelicans game late in the season, which can so appropriately symbolize his progress throughout the season both in skill & confidence
    
    can't imagine how next season will turn out, but i'm excited!
