  1. would be interesting to see also comparison video about final print quality of cheap and expensive 3d printer.
  2. Very well said
  3. Thanks for all your videos. Great JOB :)
  4. nice video subscribed
  5. Wat do you think abouth the cr-10?
  6. I have a monopeice v2 which is a wanhao i3 v2 is 300 bucks and is incredible
  7. Great video, after i originally aimed for the 500-1000€ Range i realised that i wanted to tinker with the mashine much more than to actually print stuff, so i chose rock bottom and went 140€ on an Anet A8 and started my journey from there.
I pretty much spent another 150€ish on upgrades already and i dont see me stopping here... and i love it!
  8. i may get the prusa i3 original and try yo split the cost with my brother and dad
  9. Yeah I learned this the hard way... I spent at least a hundred hours getting my printer working and at least half the original cost of the printer in additional parts.
  10. I have an anet a8, and have probably spent more than $100 on upgrades and it sounds like the cheap bearings will need replacement soon.
  11. I purchased an Anet A8 last month. After a few modification, it print perfectly! I also have a Sharebot NG, which costs 10 times the Anet, but they print likely the same!
  12. Hey, someone is stealing your video. The have 5 subscribers, but it still rankles. https://youtu.be/x5AEQFlsPN0
  13. Hi tom, I got myself into 3d printing in the last few months and I must say I have watched quite a few of your videos to better my skills in this new venture. For that Thank You for taking the time to share your experience. I still only have one printer i purchased from a Chinese store ( FLSUN I3 Clone, kinda.....) and it has been a good printer. after a few hours of assembly i was off and printing all sorts of dustable items, I have since graduated to dusting off my Old auto cad skills and designing my own parts to supplement my hobby which is rc flying and building said rc planes. I have even been able to print off planes from 3dlab print and have flown them. my only upgrades where an original E3D v6 hotend from E3D and a better 12v power supply (included supply would trip the internal breaker on longer prints). My next upgrades include a new aluminum sub bed and possibly changing from boden to direct extrusion and possibly adding an enclosure as I want to start playing with poly carbonate and other high temp plastics. In closing Thank you again for you videos!
  14. Starting out, I learned more about printer hardware than I ever wanted too after I bought a Sunhokey I3 (200$). The Ramps Board clone caught on fire during the second print, then I had to install a greg's wade extruder just to get the filament moving. Also the stepper driver voltages were too low etc etc. No I wouldn't do it again, but damn did I learn a lot.
  15. what do you think about the flux delta?

mp select mini looks nice too indeed..
  16. What do you think of cheap Delta printers from Aliexpress and so on ?
  17. love your videos. I did the research before but always nice to have it verified and explained.
  18. Thom, a question about buying or creating. I had 2 printers in the past (Prusa i3 clone and Wilson II). Now, I`m planning on building a corexy with linear rails and a printing area of 500*500*500mm, or buying a cheap Chinese delta printer. I`m going to spend 3 times the price building a corexy than buying a complete delta in China. The basic difference is the build size. And since I`m in Brazil, things here are pretty expensive, so, buying a local printer from a local producer is going to cost me for a cheap printer more than buying and paying import tax from China. I`m comparing my future corexy (spending something around 1200 usd) to a printer that is selling here in Brazil for almost 5000 usd (and less printing area). So, now for the question, build one from scratch or buy one from China?
  19. Folgertechs FT5 is a great kit forv $500. I'm surprised it did not make the list.
  20. My philosophy of use is similar to building a PC. I could buy an expensive pre-built PC for twice the cost and decent costumer service, or I could take the time and effort into researching an affordable build that offers me everything I need for a fraction of the cost.

I chose the latter and went with the Tronxy X3A and my only regret is that I did not save up for the Tronxy X3SA.
