2. Dang, this is the first version that still says "vibrator" on the dial lol. I miss mine but had to get rid of it as the wings kept pulling my arm hair. Gotta say though that this watch had the best, and I mean best display of any casio i have ever used period.

12. Much nicer packaging I just bought this watch from kohls $100 and it came in a crappy carboard box and plastic stand looked like a $20 watch. It's a gift and it looks so cheap.

    As for the watch, two thumbs up. I have long wanted a G-Shock that would show the time while in the various modes and had a 24 hour countdown timer, like the old DW-5600E (one of the greatest watches ever made) with the added benefit of the vibration feature. This was the only Casio I could find that met those criteria. Mine arrives in a few days!
15. Does the vibe vibrate on the hour if it's turned on and hourly signal turned off?? ...also, what are the chances of g shock adding multiband 6 to this? I want a g shock with multi band 6 time keeping, and solar battery recharge, but not all the sensors i won't use (barometer, altimeter, thermometer). The simpler watches like this don't seem to have those nice feature. Kind of disappointed

    Dont know if you would know, but any idea why yours says "vibrator" on the bottom and mine says "vibe alarm?"

18. Solid review. I have the US version. I have had a few GShock watches, but this is one I truly enjoy. The vibration is handy and nowhere near the pulse of let's say a smartphone. I use the countdown timer a lot. In the kitchen, I know that it counts down 10 min for me.
    
    I use that function when I work out as well. Great reminder between workout sets and just tracking time on the treadmill. I also use the countdown for when I'm at work and need 10 minutes reminder for things.
    
    The light I love. I use the 5 sec light power mode. Great for when you need a quick shot of light in a dark room.
    
    I loved the black version, however, the screen was difficult to see daylight. And you're right, in person, the green bar is a nice green/aqua look.
19. Thanks for the great review on the features of this watch. I've been a long time fan of g-shocks since about 1985 and I should be getting mine tomorrow.

This watch has excellent features but it has a design fault: it supposed to be active watch but you will note that the buttons that set time and all functions are exposed - that means if you are ridding a bike or hiking or you go to sleep with this watch it well change time zones and turn things off you set - so it is not a usable watch for active people-- it a city watch for show and tell if they do not fix that
