Comments

  1. This series is fucking terrible. It's all about marketing and the highest scores and shit like that are completely false. They are the highest scores of anyone who submitted to Guinness. Which means not anywhere near the actual highest scores.

    It's fucking pathetic.
  2. I have this book
  3. 40.24 million copies for 10 years = ~7-8 copies a minute = ~1 copy every 8 seconds
  4. i am very suprised call of duty was rated as the #1 game in this book cod is total stupid shit
  5. I just finished reading 2015 gamers edition
  6. It is like they decided we don't have the time, resources, or knowledge to verify actual records so lets just slap a bunch of history together and then throw in a few leader board scores to ensure that we can still title the book Guinness World Records.  Reminds me of Silver Linings Playbook and how the movie advertised that it was actually about football but it was really about dancing.
  7. Pewdiepie makes money by playing video games
  8. 10 copies a second for a decade would be about 3 billion copies ;-)
  9. Well, only time will tell if the Ouya and the Gamestick are remembered in the same league as the Wii U...

    SPOILERS: They won't.
  10. I think I remember getting the 2008 edition of this book.
    I believe it was green.
Even at that time when I was 14-15 I still thought it was the biggest waste of $30 ever.
So much advertisement shit in those books, it's almost worthy of the Guinness world record of biggest disappointment from a single book of any category.
Having said that, All of the GWR books have been absolute shit past 2000.
  11. If this was Mark he would have a Guinness to drink along with the book.
  12. If only Nintendo made games for its other mascots. Starfox, f zero, Earthbound hd. Some ofmany ideas that wwould've worked. But, the book is nice.
  13. Pretty pictures!
  14. Overall, "Guinness World Records 2014 Gamer's Edition" is a wacky and funny book that can be recommended for all gamers
  15. Not enough on pc gaming :(
  16. kind of cool, reminds me of old gaming magazines, totally useless of course but..
  17. Any book boasting to talk about a year that comes out before the year is over, is a waste of shelf space in my opinion.
  18. 4:35 Personally, I'm waiting for the Great Gaming Crash of 2020.

I also eagerly await the New Soviet Zombie Clash of 2015.
  19. Here's a great conversation starter: "Should we use this book as kindle for the fire or use it as toilet paper?"
  20. What was installing in your PS3 in the background?
