  1. Axle portals lift your diff
  2. And your speedometer will be off as well but can usually be adjusted.
  3. Other thing is speedo accuracy
  4. i was going to upgrade my tire size from 31.7 " to 32"+ but realized that i would have to install a 2 inch leveling kit (suspension lift) which would certainly change the driveshaft and CV axles' angle. On the driveshaft it wouldn't be an issue but on the front CV axles it could become one in the way that it would put more pressure on the front differential. My 4WD is my daily driver and offroader/hunting machine so i decided to leave it as is.I installed a set of Fierce Attitude tyres which looks beefier than my Toyo's Open Country HT,they clear the wheel wells and get me where i want .
  5. hey ronny i have a 1984 toyota hilux ln65 2.4d stock gearing it has 30s on it now if i went to a 32 how much of a difference in power and how much would it effect my lor range??
  6. A lift kit will lift your diff if you have Independent suspension
  7. Hi Ronny, bigger there is not the only option, there is another way to lift the diff is "portal axle". But it's expensive , 6 inch + portal axle mod kit will cost 16k for solid axle car only (79 land cruiser and patrol)
  8. Yes they do sell land cruisers here in Canada
  9. Hi Ronny,

Do you know if a 275/55 R20 will be ok for a Range Rover HSE 2006 ?

And if so will it put alot of major stress on brakes, suspension etc ?

Thanks and great videos btw !
  10. "Maybe even cut into some structural stuff, which I would definitely not recommend, because if you get pulled over..." NOT IN MURICA lol. We can drive with half our rusty pickup bed flopping in the wind zero fucks given lol.
  11. hey mate i was thinking of putting 32 " tires on my 2.5l pajero should i go for them or 31" and what lift should i take i'd like to have some flex๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  12. Forgive my ignorance, but is "tyre" an actual alternate spelling to tire? Just curious because I've never seen it spelled that way.
  13. Portal hubs will lift the diff
  14. Mitsubishi Montero or pajero can fit 35s without any lift other than cranking up the torsion bars. but you will have very little Clarence for off road cause you'll have no axle flex unless you cut the fenders or do a body lift.

I have 35 in nitto trail graplers on my 1990 Montero
  15. What is the legalities of changing tyre sizes? What about insurance issues?
PS - Ronnie Dahl, - your videos are great, down to earth, no bullshit.
  16. Is going from original 27" tires(195/80r15) to 30x9.5r15 okay? I have 2 inch suspension lift. However a car is 1.6l petrol with 95hp, weighing 1250kg.
  17. hey mate iv got 06 hilux with a 2"lift will 32s fit?? how can i make sure befor buying second hand??
  18. I put 33's on my pickup. That put the speedometer off. I never thought about it till I got pulled over for speeding. I was doing the speed limit, by the speedometer. I have a Garmin GPS and that is my speedometer now.
  19. Love watching your videos Ronny I am fascinated by Australia and the rugged outback. I live in Arizona so not all that different in many ways but Australia that's cool. Maybe I will make it over there some day.
