Civilization VI ► Types of WAR in Civ 6! (Casus Belli)

Tired of your allies denouncing you and declaring war? Hopefully not anymore with the new Casus Belli system in Civilization VI! 10 Things on Religion : https://youtu.be/8-dKrzVw5qo Civ 6 New Complexities : https://youtu.be/JKCYmRF_DMQ In this video, I talk about warmongering, casus belli, and war in Civilization 6. The types of war we know so far: 0. Surprise War 1. Formal War 2. Holy War 3. Liberation War 4. Reconquest War 5. Protectorate War UNKNOWN CASUS BELLI NOW KNOWN: 6. Colonial War - Used to declare war on any civilization that is 2 eras behind you. All warmonger penalties are halved. 7. Territorial Expansion War - Used to declare war on an empire bordering yours. Must have 2 cities within 10 tiles of 2 opponent's cities. Warmonger penalties reduced by 25% 8. There is also a Casus Belli when a spy gets caught in a city. Catching a spy is a reason for war. .~ ■ Check out more stuff! http://www.youtube.com/GamerZakh ■ Subscribe! http://goo.gl/dP7iI » Website: http://www.gamerzakh.com/ » Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/GamerZakh » Google+: http://www.google.com/+GamerZakh » Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/GamerZakh Thanks for watching! 1. So you all think the casus belli will fix those problems with the AI? Also, any guesses on the remaining 1 or 2 not yet revealed? I think my guesses are reasonable but probably wrong.
  2. civ declares war on me. world hates me for being warmonger
  3. I declare war on you
    Why?
    Your navy is shit
  4. Civ 3 had the best diplomacy
  5. This feature won't be in Civ 7
  6. Take a shot every time GamerZach says Casus Belli. hahaa
  7. Ahhh Casus Belli....lets hope they dont add the +70 Agressive Expansion for capture one city in HRE xD
  8. puppet states still an option?
  9. The Ai deliberately does random stupid shit to goad you. This soft cock approach to game strategy, forcing you to play how rhe devs want is rubbish. Was Ghengis or Atilla diplomatic? no . Civilization rests on war.
  10. if you use holy war, liberation, reconquest or protectorate, and after that u just continue to destroy the enemy civlization, whats happens? the casus belli then would be like a formal war?
  11. My favourite is when the ai declares war on me for no reason still... Better still I'm the one who gets shit from the other ai when I kick the war mongering bastards into the ground.
  12. Having played since launch, I have to agree with others who are critical of the warmonger penalty system. While it sounds good, in reality, on a domination game, it just means as soon as you attack or are attacked and actually win a war by capturing as few as one or two cities, you instantly become a warmonger which everyone else hates. This is unavoidable. Perhaps a better mechanic would be to eliminate warmonger penalties entirely when you are the target of war rather than the one who started it. Another idea would be to punish those who war with many different people rather than the same enemies. Also, in a large map when say I am England and China is the other side of the map and we have no common border or little interaction, why would they hate me for fighting a war with my neighbor France? Maybe a mechanic where warmonger penalties are dramatically reduced to civs which are on other continents and with whom you share no border, would make it more realistic? Just look at history; I am sure medieval Japan didn't even know, or care less, that medieval England was fighting medieval France, in the 100 years war. Why should it matter in a civ 6 game? For example, my relations might actually improve by declaring and winning a war against an AI which another AI shared a border with and had poor relations with. From their point of view, I would be weakening their strategic adversary with whom they share a border. On the flip side, if I capture a city of an AI which is a trading partner of another AI, then they would view my actions negatively for interrupting their trade route. To reinforce this, trade routes could become more lucrative the more times they are set to the same location. This would allow a balance between economic and military interests when setting a warmonger penalty for an action. To make this work better, they could also make it so that as you progress to the later eras, (industrial onward), perhaps not having a border isn't enough for other civs not to be threatened by your military actions/strength because they acknowledge the force can be projected further away with modern military technology.
  13. You forgot the colonial war, when you have a two era scientic advantage on someone.
  14. Brazil declares war on me. I lose all my allies. Everyone hates me for warmongering
  15. You have such a nice voice.
  16. not "Bell-I", but "belly".
    it's pronnounced just like "belly"
  17. i'd like to see subversive wars. Where you slowly change influence and change another countries culture to fit your own and start a revolution from within.
  18. Wow, this is exciting, I can see this being a very good ---- SURPRISE WAR

(A wild WARMONGERING OTTER has appeared!! What do you do?!*)
