Death Of The Arrow, The Biggest Mistake In Canadian Aviation History

Comments

  1. Or maybe a far cheaper and equally as capable F-106 just made it not such a big deal.
  2. That's what happens when Russian trolls post stuff and write the descriptions - they unintentionally tell the truth because their English skills are only so-so. Read that caption carefully: "Death Of The Arrow, The Biggest Mistake In Canadian Aviation History". Which was why it was cancelled - like the XF-108 Rapier (also cancelled at the same time), it was a waste of time to build a supersonic interceptor to carry a missile to an intercept with enemy inbounds, when the missile would get there faster and more cost-effectively on its own.
  3. Somehow Mig 25 looks very similar. Wonder if it was copied from Arrow.
  4. Would you stop crying about this plane , and build something else?
  5. Canada could of been the big Kids on the block button they done fked up
  6. Fifteen-thousand people fired! All those material resources destroyed. Somebody was desperate🤔
  7. Design began in 1953, all destroyed in 1959. This plane was 3 generations ahead of anything in the world. They tested to mach 2.2 but was said to be able to get to mach 3 in the early 1950's? That's crazy...
  8. Not like any one needs any more reasons but here is another reason to NOT vote Conservative in Canadian politics at any time.
  9. We should build a bunch of Arrows now and bomb the whitehouse with them! Fuck the U.S.
  10. I'm a simple man; I see Pierre Sprey, I press dislike.
  11. Small minded boys, with small dicks and short arms with long pocket and insecure Stateside wankers.
  12. Diefenbaker is a big idiot

    too idiot in fact
  13. its a cover up, and certainly it wasnt the agricultural funding shortage.......

no need to destroy the prototypes....., that operation is asking for more money to destroy the planes....
means it wasn't the money issue...
disassembly of high tech machinery/tools is another example of a clumsy conspiracy...

efficent manner would be to put a pause , and not a complete shutdown of the plant...
  14. Well, now we know that the stealth bomber owes its reputation to Canadian ingenuity. Great history lesson. 👌
  15. thats a decision a socialist gov makes
notice he said he wanted to pay farmers more.
  16. Within 1 millisecond of the radio announcement finishing the avro boss told the workers they were sacked. Far out thats harsh and quick! 2:45
  17. what a fool.
  18. Fuck US, fuck the PM
  19. Wow I never knew this, very much like when the Russians copied German designs after ww2. Much respect to the engineers of Canada! Thanks for dealing with us lol
  20. it's not a mistake if done on purpose. would america and england want canada to have arrow in case america decides to attack canada? so they had to induct inaccurate weapons and incompetent planes in service, just like incompetent are running the world.
