1. i used to hear that 2560x1600 was overkill 10+ years ago on my old dell 30" .. then the same chorus of "pointless, waste of money, overkill" again 3 years ago for 4k .. now with 8k, surprise surprise, reading these comments ... some people will always be super slow to see the potential of something new ... i dont care, cos i see the potential and im super keen :D

16. for the people with the money 8k is not overkill and will produce real benefits in a gaming experience. its not overkill to goto 8k because the pixels per inch of a 20 inch 4k monitor and a 40inch 8k monitor are identical. .. amazing gaming will come by allowing a much larger monitor to provide more clarity and therefore an immersive realistic gaming experience. for example a 40inch curved 8k screen running a driving game at say 120hz will be so realistic it will scare some people. "trip them out".. wait till u see it .....
17. wtf are u talking about ? thirtyir on youtube can plug that monitor into his uber rig and rock out 60 hz locked TODAY.....so yah it can and will be used for gaming by some. only a few as of right now but in a couple years there will be tens of thousands in the world gaming at 8k on a 8k monitor (once the price falls alot, which it will)
18. It's okay if you want about 40 windows open at the same time.
19. At some point anti aliasing won't be needed with crazy pixel densities like that
