The counsellor from Lancashire has never been diagnosed despite rigorous testing and all possible explanations are not an exact match for Mandy’s condition. Mandy’s legs continue to grow which leaves her heart under more and more strain but a terrifying option lies before her – should she get both of her legs amputated? To help her decide the stricken patient travels to America to meet those with similar problems. 1. As I was watching this video, i kept thinking: "God bless her." Mandy is a stronger woman than i will ever be. She is so strong and so positive. I would love to be her friend if i could. She is a true inspiration for me.

    I notice that when Mandy was a baby, she had hardly any fat in her face and I'm thinking that's part of her condition. She still seems to be like that, very tiny face and upper body, and not just in comparison to her legs.

18. I agree she should get the help to be able to walk. Her parents are wonderful and very supportive to her every need. I hope Mandy that your amputated leg is all healed up and that you are able to get around now......?? You have so much bravery Mandy and I admire that. If only I had that amount of courage and determination that you have...wow that would be awesome.
