Drone Flying Tips - 7 Tips for Beginner Pilots

Syma X5C - Great Beginner Drone! https://goo.gl/baQsGw Flying drones is fun but can be challenging for beginner pilots. These drone flying tips will help you hone your piloting skills and quickly get comfortable flying both toy quadcopters and expensive flying camera platforms. The biggest trick is to start with a light weight, easy to fly quadcopter and go from there. For a great beginner drone, check out the U45 Blue Jay Quadcopter on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2gBwxJq

  1. I put the cart before the horse. Wish I would looked at your very informative video before I ordered my 1st drone, a Phantom 4.
  2. Total beginner here, what does FPV stand for?
  3. I also bought a nano drone (furibee f36) so I could also practice indoors, in much smaller spaces, using same controls. Helped a lot.
  4. Maybe I got a bad Syma. I ordered mine a few weeks ago and it has literally been driving us all crazy. It has almost become a bet to see who can get it to fly. Most of these guys are experienced droners and I kept complaining that no matter how many hours I put in trying to learn to fly and trimming it out it would just go.

If you hit up it would not find a solid hover height no matter how precise you are by the time it had the lift to leave the ground it continued to go up and if you pressed it back down even a hair it fell to the ground. We traded out that remote for the remote off another X5C with the same exact results. It was all over the place. Most of these Guys had DJI Phantom 3, 4 and 4 Pro, Holy Stone 300 and 400 etc and knew what they were doing. I was about to give up on drones because i thought that my hand eye skill was not good enough to fly it but it is the drone. Maybe flying a more expensive drone a friend owns before you buy your own will give you an idea of if you will like it before sinking money into it and thinking you are a bad pilot when actually you have a troll drone.

Also DO NOT try to fly any drone near power lines even low or in your house if you have a modem on 2.4 ghz it will make you think you are insane by causing interference and your drone will not fly correctly. I have the Holy Stones 171 now and I like it, I am just mad that because one bad cheap drone almost made me give up. Also buy a couple extra batteries because when learning to fly having to stop every 5-7 minutes to recharge a battery for 100 minutes or more is enough to make anyone say forget it and get a multi charger.
  5. i have a sharper image .3m camera drone. mine does not have prop guards so can I get some? I am confused on if the green or blue blades are the front or back. and great video, i'll try the tricks you said in the video.
  6. I notice you show beginner drones without prop guards. This should not be something that is an either/or. You should urge beginners to always fit and fly with them.
  7. The gut is sending me a new camera which is nice of him so it should be good
  8. I'l be on peoples court in about a month. so my neighbors dog lost an ear? he still can hear perfectly fine with the one good one he has left! nah just kidding. I would be sick with guilt if i hurt anyone or there pet's.. especially a dog..
  9. You said the Phantom is dangerous. I disagree! GPS and Gyro plus object sensors make this drone easier to fly and safer. Example: if you take your hands of the controls for Syma or your Hexdrone it continues on its path until it hits a child in the face. Conversely, if you take your hands off the controls with a Phantom it will stay put until you direct it to do something else.
  10. Hey dude. loving your videos. Got my first quadcopter for Xmas ( top race Q511 ). not as easy as it looks!! hopefully with practice and tips from your vids I'll become proficient. cheers 😊
  11. I Just Got An MJX X101 And My FPV Camera Started Smoking When I Plugged It In Too The Drone And I Unplugged it then put it back in and It Has Two Lights At The Back Red And Green and There Both solid and it wont show up in wifi Do you know Why?
It Has Stopped Smoking the second time I plugged it in BTW First drone
  12. Gday Mate, I've been wanting to get myself a quadcopter/drone for a little while & my Wife got me one for Christmas. Just a cheapy, but after some research it seems very similar to the Syma X5C. I've watched a few of your vids over the last couple of days. I appreciate the insights - I wish I had watched them BEFORE I crashed into almost every try in the park & crashed in my neighbors yard. Now I just have to find someone local or a good online store to get spares! Thanks for making the vids Mate.
