Dual Arm Yaskawa Robot Solves a 3x3 Rubik's Cube - Guinness World Records Museum - Gatlinburg, TN



This system was designed and built for the Ripley Entertainment, Inc for the Guinness World Records Museum located in Gatlinburg, TN. It was built by the engineering team at Faber Industrial Technologies (faberinc.com) located in Clifton, NJ. This is a Yaskawa Motoman SDA5 industrial robot combined with a dual camera Teledyne Dalsa color vision inspection system. This system was built by Faber Industrial Technologies in Clifton, NJ. www.faberinc.com. Components used: Yaskawa Motoman SDA5 15 axis robot, Teledyne Dalsa GEVA 3000 vision appliance, two Teledyne Dalsa Genie 1024x768 color cameras, Advanced Illumination white LED backlight and front bar lights, Yaskawa MP2600sIEC motion controller with Sigma V drive and servo motor, Parker Hannifin belt driven linear actuator, Parker Hannifin CTC XPR-6 HMI Screen, Balluff LED fork sensor and pressure transducer, two SMC 2 jaw parallel grippers, Schmersal solenoid locking safety door switch, non contact door interlocks, and safety relays. The Teledyne Dalsa vision system is running their Sherlock 7 vision software, with an MS Visual Basic .NET front end.
