ENERCON E126 - The World's Largest Wind Turbine

This is the Enercon E-126, the first wind turbine with 6 MW rated power, rotor diameter: 126m (413ft), hub height: 135m(450ft). Two of these giant wind power units have been built for testing at an onshore location, Rysumer Nacken, near Emden, in the northwest of Germany. Here each WPU is expected to produce about 18 Mio kWh per year, enough for more than 4,500 homes. more videos here - http://www.videos.bild-art.de/

  1. Beautiful turbine! I love that thing!
  2. I wasent the brightest student but say...if ..they had an engine instead?. A really strong engine, they could push the wind forward instead. I am swedish and eat meatballs
  3. Nice video and its amazing. It is a great turbine for a utility company, big government, and politicians to benefit from.
  4. Nuclear Plants better! Build more NPP.
  5. wind turbines are graceful and beautiful. This huge one is a wonder indeed
  6. We have a wind turbine on the shore of Toronto. We tell people it's actually a giant fan to blow away the smell of Buffalo, NY.
  7. Cool as. build more of them and hydro schemes! No nuclear!🚫
  8. Damn, a bird would have to stop in midair and wait to be killed by these slow rotating blades.
  9. Unfortunately in case of fire do not have enough time to evacuate one person. Two engineers hug before they died atop a fiery wind turbine. Ooltgensplaat, Holland 11-06-2013 http://imgur.com/gallery/YHoiqz7 Lack of rescue systems for group evacuation even abroad, where the safety requirements are controlled and executed, it leads to tragedies. This happened on October 29 In 2013 in a town called Ooltgensplaat, that Netherlands. A team of four people to carry out repairs wind turbine on a 67-meter height. At this point, I broke fire. The fire quickly engulfed the turbine and cut off escape route (Stairs in the mine), blocking the two workers at the top part of the building. One jumped and was found in the adjacent to the turbine. Another team has already found the fire, risen to a wind generator when the fire died down a bit.
We have set a system for the simultaneous evacuation of 4 people from the platform at a height of 80 meters, which cut the pipe at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. The French searched the whole world, and besides we have not found anyone, because there worked their crane. This is confirmed not only patents, but also a simple search on google.com, just type in the search for group evacuation. All types of runs are made using a single actuator device. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2BB-hbt8Rk

  10. perpetual motion machine , no fuel , no wind , no maintanance
  11. Wait a while and these dumb ass things will be brought down by Controlled Demolition. All of you little wheenies that support these atrocities should be forced to live within a mile of one.. I won't respond to your bullshit calculations as these are subsidized in the USA to even make the slightest appearance on paper that wind is profitable. Joke city.
  12. Nice movie. However you can make it yourself. Just google INPLIX and learn how to do it easily.
  13. THIS IS OLD NEWS,

CHINA MADE SL5000 WIND TURBINE IS THE LARGEST IN THE WORLD, IT PRODUCE 5 TRILLION WATTS IN A SINGLE TURBINE
  14. Check InpliX handbook if you want to make it cheaper and better.
  15. and the birdies migration
  16. The new version can generate up to 7,5MW.... Crazy!
  17. [...] tidal currents also,
    - provide fluid dynamics. [...]

However, the difference is that the ocean's and sea's 'winds' are reliable as clockwork.

Don't get me wrong...I support the wind tech, 110%!

Wind tech, coupled to a marine bio-safe, and torque-centric system would open up a whole new dimension to clean electric generation.
  18. 126M diameter on the blades.... that's about a football field and a half. think about that.
  19. Because they are built of thousands of pounds of steel per turbine they require more than 225 tons of coal ( NOT SO GREEN) each to manufacture. The production, transportation to the location ,set up and cost to maintain would require that the turbine produce at maximum output, for more years than it can last just to pay for itself .
  20. Monuments to greed
