Extreme Bridging with 3D Printing on the gCreate gMax 1.5XT+

I needed to test the bridging capabilities of the gCreate gMax 1.5XT+ for a collaboration project coming up. How did it do? VERY WELL. I'm able to bridge a gap of 200mm. 8. What brand of PLA is that?
  9. WTFFFFFF THATS A HUGE BRIDGE!
  10. Amazing, though it shows that 3D printers are still a long way away from (joe average) end-consumer friendly, which simply wants to throw in any 3D model and get a perfect (and nothing I have seen so far have been qualified as such IMHO) result (possibly in multi-color) without worrying about anything.
  11. That's incredible. My Replicator 2 could barely manage a 30mm bridge that well. So much drooping and stringing.

  15. Lets get #3Dbridgechallenge trending
  16. Ive done 10 mm bridges and fan speed seems to matter most. What I wonder is how different materials bridge like ABS, nylon or mixed filaments bridge etc. PLA seems to bridge best. Would it be possible to print a 400mm bridge diagonally across the build plate or would... Just some Ideas. Thanks :) Also if you could add external cooling fan that blows alot of air I think the bridges would even turn out better.
  17. Amazing!
  18. Hello there. great video.. I was wondering if you have done a review on the gMax 1.5XT+. I'm looking to either build or buy a printer with a max build area up to 24"x24" [600mmX600mm).
  19. nope, Kossel mini can't print wider than 170mm... I'll try a150mm bridge at some point though
