7. So the queen ant can actively choose what kind of ant she produces?  So is it when she thinks the conditions are right, or do conditions cause it to happen on its own?  Such as where temperature can determine the gender of some reptiles.

I've been watching and loving this channel since 2012, I had a odd fascination with ants and if I didn't find this channel I probably wouldn't know that you could keep them in setups with a queen and brood. I used to have a bin outside my house and I'd steel ants from a nearby colony one by one. I used to feed them and everything. Man I miss the good old days

20. Actually fire ants in the wild aren't monogamous they invade other nests and take the queen for their own and can take a huge amount of queens, this is mainly why they are so strong in America. Also this means fire ants seek out other queens so they are extremely likely to accept new ones (if they kill all the workers of the new queen first).
