Five Tennis Records that will never be broken

Here are five untouchable tennis records that we believe will never be broken.

Comments

  1. one record that will NEVER be broken: winning all four grand slams in a single year. the best anyone could do is to match it (unless they have a fifth slam in the future)
  2. Federer 23 semifinal streak
  3. serena winning 7 majors at two different slams
  4. Nadal's 9, 9, 9 on clay at French Open, Barca, and Monte Carlo. Federer's 5x2 Majors at US Open and Wimbledon.

    Other possible records include *:

I think Tomic holds a pretty hard to beat record for the most wasted talent in tennis history. He's a good player without doubt, he just completely missed his chance to be an unbelievable player.

The Bryan Brothers for being the most perfectly balanced doubles team in history. Same racquet, identical twins, identical strokes, righty and lefty, etc.

Djokovic for most time spent bouncing balls. Might as well go to another court to watch a full match so I can get back by the time Djokovic's service game is over. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I72qi_tAwL4

Brian Battistone for most interesting/weirdest serve ever. (it's really cool, check it out. So is his double handled racquet. Didn't think a pro like that could even exist.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkEk0dsThG0

Sharapova or Larcher de Brito for craziest screaming.

    Kyrgios for most scandals/controversies.

    Federer for most backhand shanks/whiffs.

Nadal for most superstitions/tics (I mean have you seen his pre-serve routine? Fix pants, then shirt, then hair, then sweat off the nose, then hair again. And don't forget the water bottles, not stepping on the court lines, biting trophies).

    Roddick for funniest press conferences.

Murray for most disrespectful box/player interactions. (He screams at his own box, and sometimes people in his box go and hate on his opponents. wow... No wonder Lendl is the one coaching him. He's one of the only players who can stand Murray's abuse without batting an eye like that)

*note that many of these are just for kidding around. These players are all good tennis players, as they are professionals for a reason. I have lots of respect for them. Well, usually; when they start cursing at their box, throwing backhanded insults (ahem Mr. "hey-Wawrinka-Kokkinakis-banged-your-girlfriend"), or any doing other manner of rude, inappropriate things, it's a different story.
  5. Yes, the Williams sisters will probably be the only two sisters to play each other in 9 grand slam finals.  Also, they made be the only sisters who would ever play each other in all four of the grand slam finals (French, Australian, US Open and Wimbledon).
  6. and they forgot the most head to head ever between two legend of professional tennis, 80 matches between navratilova and evert and in martina 's favor with 43-37 @@! no other couples, rivalries had ever met so many like this one. ^^!
  7. how can u compare men tennis to women women tennis is nothing only ball hitting slow unforced error that's why women tennis record bt men tennis is hig level ball hitting harder so don't compare novak to Navratilova nadal to chirs shit fuck off
  8. ...add to this the fact that Stephanie Graf (she doesn't like being called Steff, I've read) is the only player ever to win 4 titles at ALL Grand Slam events.
  9. What I cannot believe is the omission of Rod Laver's 2 Grand Slams! I cannot see that EVER being matched.
  10. yes there are some good records i think one that will no be broken would be the federer's record of not abandoning a single match in his career, more than a thousand plays and he never retires during the match.
  11. 377 weeks number one in total by Steffi Graf.

All the records of Graf in a relatively short career compared to Evert, Navratilova and Serena
  12. Chris evert record of winning at least one major for 13 consecutive years might never be broken. Also rafa's 9 roland garros looks invincible.
  13. Federer made it to 18/19 grand slams finals from 2005 US Open to 2010 Aus Open. This may never be matched.
  14. Roger Federer 5 titles in a row at 2 different slam events
  15. Martina and her 9 wimbledons singles!
  16. Hingis world number 1 at 16. Beat that.
  17. What about Chris Evert's Semifinals runs in the grand slams
  18. Comparing Rafa Nadal to Chris Evert is STUPID for obvious reasons. Stop it, Tennis Now "experts".
  19. Monika Seles' 8 grand slams as a teenager
  20. Roger Federer 237 straight weeks at world number one
