  1. Hail the true Lord of the Night.
  2. where is Barnoldswick near? BTW: my aunt has one of these near her house on her property.  she couldn't believe the size of it!
  3. Good idea let the lil girl stand close to the talons
  4. What a MONSTROUS creature.
  5. He looks pissed.
  6. Damn nature! You scary!
  7. did you know that a species of ants has domesticated another insect? they don't just use them when they need them, they pick the smaller bugs up, carry them around until a suitable feeding area is found, let them do their thing, and repeat. That sounds a lot like what we do with sheeps and cows, so it is a natural occurrence for one animal to control another, not just humans
  8. Think about it, every animal lives under the strict control of whatever's above it in the food chain. You follow the rules, you get to live. Except top predators, which really this owl is.. but predators tend to like hanging out in packs with other predators. Except when they don't. Do owls ever roost with other owls? I dunno.
  9. The beek bit is a pretty good idea if you have chickens, though. They get nasty when they pick at the chicken at the bottom of the pecking order.
  10. its nothing like a cat lady!
  11. its all fun and games till someone looses a finger!
  12. You should say below you. Its horrible what some people do to animals...
  13. The American (North and South America) horned owls and the Old World eagle-owls make up the genus Bubo, at least as traditionally described. This genus, depending on definition, contains about one or two dozen species of typical owls (family Strigidae) and is found in many parts of the world. Some of the largest living Strigiformes are in Bubo. Traditionally, only owls with ear-tufts were included here, but that is no longer the case. In simpler words they are in the same family
  14. umm, i believe its a great horned owl, not an eagle owl which had darker feathers, yellow eyes rather than orange and no ear tuffs or feather tuffs on the top of his head
  15. it shouldn't be tied down. End of.
  16. @Aivottaja a king indeed.
  17. @8Nehemiah8 shaving birds beaks, wing clipping, and declawing is retarded
  18. why dont they set it free instead of displaying it for our amusement
  19. I think that thing could quite literally carry a small child
  20. Wow that is a huge owl
