Giant rats infested parts of Brooklyn New York. Apparently someone who had a Gambian pouched rat as a pet but it made its way into the wild where it reproduced. 3. This is an old video, but you guys must not know how perspective works if you think this is a giant rat. If the rat is giant, how big is the head of the pitchfork? The head of a 6 tined pitchfork is usually going to be somewhere from 9 to 12 inches. Judging by the width of the tines in relation to the space between the tines, 10 inches is about the widest the pitchfork head could be. The rat's body, not including tail, looks like it's about the same length as the tines are wide, so maybe a ten inch body, right? Nope. The ends of the tines are 180% the width of the base of the tines. The rat is skewered on the pitchfork with about 2 inches of tine sticking out in front of it. Generously, we'll say that it's 70% down the tine, meaning it appears to be about about 156% the size it appears to be in relation to the width of the pitchfork head. That leaves the size of the rat's body, not including tail at about 6 1/4 inches. Half a rat's length is it's tail, so you've got a total length of 12 1/2 inches, which is fairly average for a rat. This is what happens when you take a picture of something you're holding out 4 feet in front of you with a stick, which is exactly what the guy in the picture is doing. He's holding a rat at the end of a pitchfork and somebody took a picture where you can't see the handle... And you guys are dumb.
