Michigan was #5 in the nation. not to take anything away from app state but Michigan was hella overrated. but app state did there thing nonetheless congrats I hope they make a 30 for 30 it this game the Boise state Oklahoma fiesta bowl and the 2008-2009 Utah Utes very underrated season.

game is not as good as stanford versus usc 2007 when Trojans were 40 some point favorites and stanford won 24-23 at usc

ONE of the greatest college football upsets, but not the greatest. Unbeaten number 1 ranked USC losing to unranked OSU at Corvallis, Or. was a "thrilla from Manila" beating the PAC-12 gorilla.

Man, it's just funny how college is. I mean, in the NFL, there's clearly better and worse teams, but all the teams are the same caliber, so to speak. But in college, there's so many teams that you might play a team you've never played before in the history of the program. It's harder to compare the teams because there are so many teams of so many divisions with such different opponents. Like, that Appalachian State team was literally just like so shocked and thrilled that they beat a Michigan team in ONE game ONE time while Notre Dame or the Crimson Tide would just be like "yeah Yanno. Boys played a good game"
