I used to be a half back and also a kickoff/ punt returner. the first thing I learned when I was like 8 playing those positions was to hold the ball on the left or right side depending on wich way the sideline is. run left hold it on your left run right hold on your right, so if you get tackled and fumble the ball will go out of bounds not stay in bounds resulting in a turn over. look at the last clip..
