Comments

  1. I might have just lost some respect for Business Insider.
  2. Plastic face, man your facial muscles are relaxed.. Too much fillers
  3. Is this satire or...
  4. shhhhhhhh we dont want them to know that
  5. douchebag advice..!
  6. Reading the comments wondering why these people are watching a video about getting ahead when all they want to do is conform to the expectations of society. If you want to go to college and get some debt (that you can't even declare bankruptcy to get out of) then go ahead. But get off the bitch train and stop mocking someone who has the results and is sharing his wisdom for free. When Grant talks about saving he specifically says "save to invest" and not to save for any of the reasons mentioned prior to this. You can invest in yourself for $20.. Just read a book by someone who has the results you're after.
And if you think 100K is a lot of money, then you're no where near the right mindset to achieve financial success.

P.S Your house is not an asset.. google it
  7. not bad advice. the truth is, most people don't have nearly enough money to invest in anything except for their own food supply.

I would add, don't start a business, because you'll be taxed twice as much as a wage earner.

also, don't talk about controversial subjects online. this seemingly innocuous behavior will increase your tax obligation beyond belief.

don't do business with banks. For every dollar they make, they will take a dollar. for every dollar they lose they will take a dollar.

avoid debt. since the banking reforms, there is no good debt anymore. this is a sales technique debtor's use.

remember, when the government and the banks take all your money and you are starving, the church will give you food.
  8. Decent info
  9. Was this serious? he just went against most established advise
  10. college is an investment in yourself
  11. Lol. Worst. Advice. Ever. Don't take a loan to go to school, but invest in yourself.
    Nailed it.
  12. One could argue that paying student fees is an investment in themselves, no?
  13. How to be wealthy: Don't be poor.
  14. He contradicts himself three times in one minute. Spending on education is stupid... invest in yourself... uh, duh, what do you think education is?
  15. OK, so don't save your money and don't invest until you have 100k? How does that work? Maybe you can charge people to tell them how to invest their money that they just gave to you.
  16. Please please tell what is this sure thing investment that will make us all millionaires.
  17. This is fantastic satire.
  18. Pay for college? What a nonsense! What's next? Pay for healthcare?
  19. People in the comments are so typical.
"everybody knows that his advice is bullshit"
what you are clinging to is conventional wisdom.

How many people who have had 401ks and student loans that you know are actually decamillionares?
Probably none...This guy is one so keep your shitty herd mentality to yourself.
