Horse Jumping: Bruce and Rapport Jumping 4 ft. 8 in. (1.4 m.) on Dec. 30 2008

Rapport and I were having a lesson with our trainer, Tracy Roberts, and it was going very well. We were originally working up to two 4' fences spaced with two strides in between. Then we knocked (and broke) the first fence so we were just going to do cross poles and 4'. But I suggested we put the second fence to 4'2" to make it a bit challenging. Then 4'6. Rapport was going so well, I asked if we could go for the new world record (for Rapport and me) and I happened to have my trusty video camera with me. The 4'8" (1.42 m.) fence wasn't pretty, but he did it with room to spare! Attaboy, Rapport!

  1. ummmm this is great, but maybe you should work on your position and keeping your hands steady before jumping this high, because it really could hurt your horse. But this is great!
