Jan Zelezny's 94.74m world record in javelin throw. Set in Oslo in 1992 with a Nemeth Classic 90m javelin. This was a rough surface type javelin, which was later ruled ineligible by the IAAF, thus the world record was deleted. im wearing a black tracksuit with the green/yellow sides at 56 seconds. I threw 81.48 backley threw 85 for 2nd. If you see the sheffield meet where he threw 95 twice i wasthere and again when he threw 92m. I got close to him in a meet in moscow and hungary where he threw 81 amd 79 and i came 2nd with a couple of 78m throws or there abouts. He hits is hard 33m/s as opposed to 28-30ms for most world class throwers i hit 28.9ms in a UK event where we had bio mech analsyis - 1.83 height of release 38 angle of release adn plus 2 angle of attack if i remember right. A guy who threw 85 that day threw 28ms with similar characteristic to backley who threw 88m with 40 angle of release 0 angle of attack and 2.03 release height 1992 UK Olympic trail I threw 81.70m that day.
