  5. While he squats a large amount of weight, relative to his bench and deadlift, he should be doing more. This isn't a criticism, more of a testament to a superb deadlift, and a mind boggling, insane, unfathomable, bench press.

  7. Kirill is such a technician. Beautiful executed lifts. Also, he is untouchable in a push pull competition. No one would even come close.

  11. How much does this guy weight? Petr Petráš (Czech powerlifter) did 1115 kg raw, coming 3rd ever (after Malanichev, tie with Lilliebridge). But he is in another weight category, isn't he?
  12. It's what I thought. Even in Russia they call in power lifting a "squat" what is only a half squat or maybe a 55% depth squat partial. You people realize that Leonid Taranenko did 380KG, rump to ankles, and paused at the bottom before standing? But then, he was only an olympic lifter, and as the pl faction is fond of saying, the olympic lifts are "only technique, they're merely just only all technique." So why do PL rules have people pausing in a BP at the chest (full range with a pause) but what they mislabel a squat, is not full range, and no bottom pause? It's about having bigger barbells and bloated totals. If they did the squat the way they ("raw") do the BP, their squat barbells would drop 40% in weight till they got used to training the full deep range, then later when the best ability comes, they'd still be off at least 25% of what the shallow partial was. No one seriously expects PL "squats" to change; but so many are in denial about the shortcomings, there will always be a few voices saying "this ain't what they pass it off to be."
