Comments

  1. Its funny how people comment as if its a pissing contest
  2. a lot of good big guns did the Yamato or the bissmak both sunk.
  3. I have one word...Yamato
  4. You stupid fucks in the comment section!! It's just a title talking about some of the largest guns in the world, not necessarily the actual largest. Man, some people are so damn ignorant. Do the world a favor and stand in front of one these guns!
  5. I find that the clips from the US War Department between late 1941 through late 1944 to be obvious pro US War propaganda. US war department successful efforts in glorifying and motivating a generation to join the great struggle of WWII - insulting. These short 'Pro' WWII clips, at the time showed tremendous honor, top clothing, exception living conditions, the best weapons including enemies being easily decimated by countless numbers. Our US population was mislead and utterly clueless as to what they were sign up to getting into.

I must also say, the US War Department's WWII clip campaign worked but will never be able to be used again.

This trickery no longer worked in the Korean and the Vietnam conflicts that had long term results. The most costly loss of the US population's confidence and pride of this Government's Military was this nation will never see 'the United States Greatest Generation' again.
  6. The British battleships Rodney and Nelson both had nine 16" guns. 14", 15" and 16" were the usual size guns on most battleships of the period from all countries that had battleships. The Yamato and Musashi were exceptions with their 18" guns. But the Japanese were so scared of losing them they never really saw much action until the last days of the war when it was too late to make any difference to the outcome.
  7. excuse me? largest guns? no. largest neval guns were on the yamato and on the ground it was one of them german guns.
  8. the biggest naval guns was mounted at yamato. 18.1 inches. this is bullshit
  9. "WWII Training Movie"? This was made in '55.
  10. Yes currently they are the largest guns. But the schwerer gustav gun, the haubitze M, the gamma morser, and the Type 94 (Yamato class gun) were all larger in caliber.
  11. Iowa's naval guns its not the largest its the guns of yamato look at the history of naval artillery
  12. I hear what you are saying about yamato having 18 inch guns but the 16 inch of the us navy were actually more powerful due to loading and projectile construction. they were the most powerful gun ever fitted to a ship... but yes many coastal guns and the gustav were even more powerful
  13. lol this video is so crazy 16" gun is the largest gun? lololol and what happen to gustav 31" if 16" is the largest? or what happen to Yamato 18" gun? this is so....lolololol
  14. The biggest gun in the world is the heavy-gustav from Germany
  15. royal nay had 18 inch gun in world war one so america sorry u lose this one
  16. lol gustav is about 31" cal and the iowa class battleship gun is only 16" almost twice the size
  17. Yeah, the German's Gustav was a lot bigger.
  18. Wrong title. When you say "world" you have to get out of USA to see that.
  19. I would give anything to be onboard when those guns fired. Iowa class battleships has always been my favorit ship.
