In November 2011 at Nazaré, Portugal, extreme waterman and ocean explorer Garrett McNamara managed to surf a mammoth 78-foot wave - the largest ever recorded ride in history. 11. That's the largest wave surfed? It barely looks like 10 feet, i skipped up to the middle and it looked like he was just standing on the surf board.
